Matthew Emanuel: Managing Director
After fifteen years as a management consultant and business development manager at some of South Africa’s largest corporates, Matt opted for a change in early 2018. He launched CapaciTech with the vision to create a pan-African multi-functional player in the tech start-up and seed investment space, one that would use technology to capacitate and scale small businesses. Matt has a BCom from Wits University, a PDM from Wits Business School and an MBA from the Gordon Institute of Business Science.

Alex Honegger: Business Development Director
A seasoned professional, Alex is a Director and Capital Partner at CapaciTech and a valued shareholder at Cambial, a financial communications and economics consulting firm. His diverse journey across finance, investor relations, marketing, and business development underscores his adaptability and expertise. He has a proven track record in crafting investor relations strategies, managing a diverse portfolio of clients such as Calgro M3, Citadel, Peregrine Treasury Solutions, Marriott Asset Managers, Matrix Fund Managers, and Lonmin PLC. His roles as a consultant and COO at an eCommerce SME in Johannesburg and Cape Town further enhanced his entrepreneurial skills. Alex’s experience reflects his commitment to excellence and leadership in startups, finance, and venture capital.

Jaco de Wet: Technical Executive
An engineer by training and an entrepreneur at heart, Jaco has extensive senior-level experience at various management services firms. Since May 2017, he has worked as an independent consultant, specialising in systems, projects and software development and working as an industrial engineer with tech start-ups. He is responsible for the nuts and bolts of the technical expertise CapaciTech offers to its partners. Jaco holds a MSc in Industrial Engineering from Stellenbosch University.

A qualified CA(SA) with a MBA, Hiten’s broad-based background in leadership, finance, commercials and entrepreneurship makes him a perfect fit for this cross-functional role.
